Tanzania

Tanzania is a land of superlatives, home to Africa’s highest mountain, the deepest and largest lake, the largest overland migration, the most famous national park and the highest concentration of animals in the world. Couple that with the chance of spotting black rhinos, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, lions, pythons, giraffes, wild dogs, hippos and crocodiles, and you have the recipe for the ultimate African dream safari.

Tanzania has so much to offer for safari seekers and adventurers. From the great migration of millions of wildebeest in the Serengeti, to the dazzling beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater, to Maasai village visits, to climbing the mighty Kilimanjaro. To top it all off, you could add some time on the tropical island Zanzibar. This snorkeling and diving paradise hosts one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and coral reefs and is the ideal destination to unwind. Tanzania is a country you will fall in love with at first sight.

Uganda

With a total surface area of 240,000 sq.km, Uganda is a small country by African standards. What this country lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty with some of the most breathtaking sceneries and the highest concentration of primates in Africa. Although it boasts a wide range of wildlife, Uganda’s main draw are the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Watching them at close range is one of Africa’s most exciting wildlife experiences for many travelers. Half of the world’s gorilla population lives in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It’s no wonder this is one of Uganda’s most popular parks, together with the chimp hotspots Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kibale. Make sure you don’t miss out on the world’s longest river, the Nile, when visiting Uganda. The banks of this mighty river swarm with wildlife and the waters are full of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Witness the force of the Nile at Murchison Falls, where the Nile pushes itself through a small gap in the rocks before plunging down 45 m. This impressive waterfall is a wonderful show of nature. Uganda is the perfect destination for those who like to explore nature and wildlife off the beaten track, away from the crowds.
